At Scenic Rim Adventure Park on Saturday 19 November the local 4WD park will host the Offroad Boss King of the Rim event.  This is no ordinary offroad event, it is a fast endurance 4WD race, “fastest laps win”. 2011 event will introduce a new format that will keep both competitors and spectators on the edge of their seats.  Still testing the driver’s skill, their navvies nous and introducing tactics like no other 4WD race does in Australia.

Gates open on Saturday at 7.30am and go to 11.30pm due to the only event of its kind the night gully climb under lights.

This event is compulsive viewing for all public that enjoy motor sports, adrenaline rushes and an event with a difference. Tickets for this event are now on sale to the general public and if you pre-purchase your tickets you will save on the gate entry price.

This year, Offroad Boss King of the Rim has secured 33 competitors that will represent from all across Australia in two classes:

• Modified - Bodied car on up to 37" tyres
• Buggy/Truggy - Unlimited

Both classes will be running the same track in the Offroad Boss Arena for the Saturday. This track will be an endurance track, which will consist of five, 30 minute laps. Between each lap, teams will be given the opportunity to have a 10 minute pit stop to refuel and check over the vehicle in the pit area.

The track is suitable for any modified vehicle with lockers and 35" tyres. It is setup as an endurance race, with high speed sections, gully runs, hill climbs, vertical banks and jumps. There won't be any real damaging rock, which will ensure a fast, flowing fun track for both teams and spectators alike.

There will be TJM Equipped Hill Drag race for the Modified class late afternoon Saturday while the Buggy/Truggy class prepare for the ARB Cooper's Plains Night run in Australia's premier gully run, under lights, starting at the bottom and ending at the top of the gully. Teams will be sent off in 2 minute intervals, so passing will be encouraged (under safe conditions).
